In lieu of flowers or gifts, a fund has been set up through Paypal to help our family pay for funeral services and other expenses.

I grew up with Fred on the south side of Albert Lea. Hardly a day went by that we did not see each other. We got into our share of mischief when we were young. Nothing serious--just enough to keep Bob and Doris on their toes. We've stayed in touch over the years. He visited me in Las Vegas and I visited him in Elko. He was always a great friend. You could always count on Fred to give you the unvarnished truth whether you appreciated it or not. There was nothing phony or disingenuous about Fred. He was always "what you see is what you get". That is what I loved most about him. He will be missed.
